About us

Hi there

If you want to live a long healthy, happy life and stay active and bright into your later years, this is the place for you. I have a secret weapon I cant wait to share with you.

I'm Laura, a dancer and a psychologist obsessed with helping adults age to become the best possible version of themselves. I use dance to achieve it

I’ve been a professional dancer for more than 20 years. I had the pleasure to travel the globe dancing for some of the best dance companies in my home country, Cuba, which gave me the opportunity of working with some of the world’s most renowned choreographers and perform in extraordinary venues.

Baila for life  started with my college studies.
I started my college studies in Psychology to help me heal some of the wounds that classical ballet can inflict. As a teenager, I struggled with Anorexia and Bulimia for five years, and I wanted to help others in my position. However, as my studies developed, I came across researches about the benefits of dancing for fighting Alzheimer’s, dementia, and its effect on Depression, specifically in older adults, and I fell in love.

So for the last three years, I’ve been working with adults 50+, helping them improve their aging process through dancing. Specifically, now I travel the US helping Raul Malo, the lead singer of the Grammy award-winning band The Mavericks, recover from ankle surgery, and get back in shape.
And now, I invite you to join me, and I welcome you to Baila for Life, an effort to educate, motivate and move you and others like you to dance your way to a healthier life..
